To enhance the game excitement, the 2016 Community Shield game between Leicester City and Manchester United, incorporated a unique opening ceremony. Alongside with the rest of the Wembley stadium branding print assets the events and marketing team requested the creation of two massive banners in the size of 10 x 68m. The brief was relatively straight forward as long as the whole look and feel follows the Community Shield’s brand guidelines and specific player shots were been used.

Due to the size of the banners both artworks have been created in Photoshop on a 10% canvas scale. The images* treated in such a way that an epic-dramatic effect was achieved.

The top part contained a 3 players hero creative-action shot and the bottom part the trophy lifting shot from the Premiere League (Leicester City) and The FA Cup (Manchester United) winners. Every single image has been retouched and treated accordingly.
